Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, co-star Josh Dallas credited the loyalty of sci-fi aficionados for allowing the Manifest team to complete their story.
"Once Upon a Time and Manifest are similar in terms of their genre-leaning audiences, always the greatest TV watchers because they’re so passionate about their shows," he explained. "It is a huge part of why we came back".
He also offered hope to those wanting more Manifest, revealing he'd be interested in returning to his character many years down the line to find out how his situation has evolved.

Dallas added: "I think there’s major sequel or spinoff potential here. Maybe we go into the future and see Eden [his character’s daughter] at 21 or so as she’s navigating the world, or we follow the younger passengers.
"[Or] maybe we go back to 2013 and deep dive into the investigation with [NSA director] Vance."

Manifest season 4 part 2 release date
Manifest season 4 part 2 will be available to stream on Netflix from Friday 2nd June 2023.
It's welcome news for fans who have been waiting for months to uncover the ultimate fate of the passengers of Montego Air Flight 828.
Unfortunately, Netflix UK is home to only the fourth season of Manifest – which consists of 20 episodes split into two halves – with the first three seasons remaining exclusive to Sky Max and NOW until at least the end of the month.

Manifest season 4 part 2 cast
The final half of the season will see the principal Manifest cast reprise their roles once more.
Expected to return to their roles one final time are:
- Melissa Roxburgh as Michaela Stone
- Matt Long as Zeke Landon
- Josh Dallas as Ben Stone
- Luna Blaise as Olive
- Ty Doran as Cal
- Parveen Kaur as Dr Saanvi Bahl
- Holly Taylor as Angelina Meyer
- Daryl Edwards as Robert Vance
Melissa Roxburgh (I Still Believe) leads the cast as NYPD detective Michaela Stone, while Matt Long (Mad Men) portrays her on-screen husband Zeke Landon.
Josh Dallas (Once Upon a Time) plays Michaela's brother and fellow flight passenger Ben Stone, who works as a professor in mathematics, while Luna Blaise (Fresh Off the Boat) and Ty Doran (American Crime) appear as his children, Olive and Cal.
Manifest also stars Parveen Kaur (Beyond) as Dr Saanvi Bahl, Holly Taylor (The Americans) as recently released captive Angelina Meyer, and Daryl Edwards (The Many Saints of Newark) as NSA director Robert Vance.
Manifest season 4 part 2 plot: What could happen?
Manifest star Josh Dallas is confident that fans will be pleased with the ending that they have cooked up.
"It is compelling, it is twisty, it is turny, it is everything that you want out of a classic episode of Manifest and more,” he said of the final episode (via TV Line).
"We get to find out the ultimate answer of what happened to these passengers on Flight 828. In my opinion, it is the perfect ending and resolution to each of these characters, and we can’t wait for people to see it."
An official synopsis reads: " In the aftermath of Angelina unleashing a devastating volcanic fissure, the passengers face severe scrutiny in a world fueled by 828er hate, no longer free to solve their own Callings without constant supervision by the unscrupulous 828 Registry.
"A mysterious accident delivers ominous warnings on a biblical scale that will further jeopardise the livelihood of all the passengers."
