Sherwin Williams selected Pewter Green SW 6208 to wrap up the year as December’s Color of the Month. Pewter Green is in Sherwin William’s 2020 Color Forecast and it’s part of the Haven Collection. This color is on-trend for the season and on-trend for the year. Muted greens have been trending this year. Pewter Green is a cool sage-y green. Its pine green color blends with grays for a lovely deeper green that still plays on the neutral side. Chromatic neutrals are here to stay. Inspiration – Pewter Green
After this year, we could all call in some peace. This inspiration image and palette represents just that. I don’t know about you, but I can’t help but exhale when I see this image. This palette calls in peace and serenity. This image of eucalyptus in a vase was the inspiration for this palette. Pewter Green pairs with cooler off-whites, and various soothing shades of green. The varying greens of the dried eucalyptus colors set the foundation of the palette.
The colors were sourced from the image and then paired with a Sherwin Williams color shown below. Check out more info in Sherwin Williams December 2020 color of the month featured here.

Wallcovering: Sheila Bridges Design
Garden Tools Wallpaper
To start off this curated collection is this wallcovering from Sheila Bridges Design. This wallcovering graphic showcases a playful arrangement of garden tools. Upon further research, I realized this wallcovering is actually black. But in this photograph, the color looks like Pewter Green (oops, it do be like that sometimes). To that I’ll say, for the sake of the curation, it still lands an honorary spot in the college. The Garden Tools Wallpaper print was actually created by a college student designer. Sheila worked with students at Utah University. Sheila Bridges is a celebrated interior designer. Her shop features wallpaper, prints, and fabrics include her iconic Harlem Toile.
Planter: Eco Vibes
The Minute 2 Planter – Matte Green
Next in this collection is this planter from Eco Vibes. These ceramic planters have unique triple-dip glazing. I am a fan of the organic feel of this glaze. The soft green provides a level of peace and will pair nicely with green plant friends looking for a new home. Eco Vibes focuses on sustainability and ethical practices without sacrificing style. The couple, Leonard and Andrea Allen’s, shop is in Portland. Eco Style includes women, minority, family-owned businesses, and small makers and manufacturers.
Pillow: Jungalow
Green Stitched Zag Pillow
This Green Stitched Zag Pillow from Jungalow reminds me of a maze. There are so many lovely details to appreciate about this pillow. We have the lovely tonal play of the various shades of green. We also have the graphic nature and uniqueness of the shapes. Layered in is the play between mass and void which creates a deeper visual interest in the pattern. The chef’s kiss on top is the hand-stitched detail on the pillow. Justina Blakeney is the mastermind behind Junglow. It is a destination for all things boho. For every sale, two trees are planted.
